The Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and Choir present 16 concerts during the season from September to April with one summer concert in Big Sky. We have a chamber ensemble outreach program called Far Afield that performs in regional schools and communities throughout the year at minimal to no charge (depending on venues and grant compliance).

The Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture is a community arts hub housed in a one-of-a-kind 1918 school building. Classrooms are now artist workspace, yoga studios, galleries, non-profit organizations and the award-winning Emerson Grille. The Emerson offers arts outreach and education programs, community events, and contemporary art galleries showcasing the work of established and emerging artists. A renovated 550-seat theatre hosts professional live theatre and music performances, film festivals, and conferences; the ballroom is a popular space for parties performances, dinners, and fundraisers.

Since 1979 the Intermountain Opera Association has produced grand opera in Bozeman every spring. Acclaimed professional singers from around the country join a chorus of talented singers from MSU & the community, as well as a professional orchestra of the best local talent; it is truly a Bozeman production. Hand painted sets from Milan, Italy, and dazzling costumes are provided by Stivanello Costume Co. of New York.

The Sweet Pea Festival will mark its’ 30th year! Activities include a Ball, Chalk on the Walk, the Bite of Bozeman, Juried Art Shows, a Parade, the Children’s Run and three days of music, dance, theatre, workshops, arts & crafts and children’s activities in Lindley Park. Sweet Pea is an endeared Bozeman tradition run by the power of community volunteers. All proceeds from the event are given back to the community in the forms of grants for the arts and art education; and for special community projects.
